Bacon Alfredo Pizza
Bacon Alfredo Pizza is loaded with rich, garlicky Alfredo sauce, gooey mozzarella, and plenty of crispy bacon for the ultimate flavor combo!

Why We Love Bacon Pizza with Alfredo Sauce
- I’ve been obsessed with bacon alfredo pizza ever since I first concocted the idea of ordering it as my employee meal from a restaurant I worked at. It’s stuck with me all these years, and holy cow is it good!!
- The combination of salty, crispy bacon, rich garlicky alfredo sauce, with loads of melty cheese on a pizza crust is my happy place. It’s comfort food on a slice and friends, it’s heaven in your mouth.
- Sure you could order delivery, but this recipe is so easy there’s no reason to not make it yourself. Make homemade pizza dough and sauce, or buy it at the store. No judgments here. It’s all about how much time you have for the kitchen.

Ingredients You’ll Need to Make Bacon Alfredo Pizza
PIZZA DOUGH: You can use store-bought or homemade pizza dough as the base for this recipe. Most grocery stores sell pre-made dough in little bags in the refrigerated section by the cheese, You can grab a can of Pillsbury pizza dough, or buy a ball from your local pizzeria.
SAUCE: This pizza is ALL about the alfredo sauce. If you’re making it homemade, you’ll need butter, garlic, cream cheese, heavy cream, parmesan, salt, pepper, and a little ground nutmeg. Otherwise, you can grab a jar of your favorite alfredo sauce at the store.
CHEESE: Get a block of mozzarella cheese at the store and shred it yourself for beautifully melted cheese. Block cheese doesn’t have that coating on the cheese that prevents sticking, which can make it melt weirdly.
TOPPINGS: Bacon, bacon, and more bacon!! You can use regular or thick-cut bacon or even pancetta if you’re feeling fancy!

How to Make Alfredo Pizza with Bacon
Jump to RecipeSTEP 1 Cook the bacon until it’s nice and crispy. Cool the bacon on a paper towel and then chop it up. While the bacon cooks, preheat your oven to 450 degrees F and grab a pizza pan. Roll out the pizza dough on a lightly floured surface into a 12-inch circle.

STEP 2 Transfer the pizza dough to the pizza pan and bake it for 10 minutes to par-bake the crust. The crust should look set, not doughy, but still be very pale. Carefully take the pizza crust out of the oven. Spread the alfredo sauce over the crust leaving a ½ inch border around the edge. Sprinkle the chopped bacon, chicken, and then mozzarella over the sauce.

STEP 3 Return the pizza to the oven and bake it for another 10-15 minutes until the cheese is melted and the crust is golden.

STEP 4 Take the pizza out of the oven and cut it into 8 slices. Sprinkle some chopped parsley on for garnish (optional, but pretty), and serve the pizza while it’s still nice and warm.

Tips & Tricks
- Help the pizza crust get perfectly golden brown by brushing it with olive oil after you add the toppings to your pizza.
- Change up the toppings! Add shredded chicken and spinach for extra protein and some greens.
- I recommend Rao’s alfredo sauce if you need a store-bought suggestion. The extra few dollars you’ll spend are worth the taste upgrade, and there’s enough in the jar to top 3-4 pizzas.
- Instead of parsley to garnish your pizza, swap out for fresh basil leaves. Chop them or cut them into a chiffonade and sprinkle ’em over the top. Yum!

Bacon Alfredo Pizza Recipe FAQ
Do you cook bacon before putting it on pizza?
Yes! Always cook your bacon before adding it to a pizza. Since pizza bakes quickly, raw bacon wouldn’t have enough time to fully cook. Pre-cooking ensures crispy, flavorful bits of crispy bacon on every slice.
You can add prosciutto to pizza uncooked, but it’s usually added on top after the pizza bakes.
What’s the difference between white pizza and Alfredo pizza?
White pizza (or “pizza bianca”) is any pizza that skips tomato sauce. It usually uses olive oil, ricotta, or garlic instead. There may or may not be other toppings as this style of pizza is typically considered a flatbread.
Alfredo sauce pizza is a type of white pizza, that substitutes creamy Alfredo sauce as the base, instead of tomato sauce, adding an extra indulgent twist.
Domino’s Alfredo Pizza vs. Bacon Alfredo Pizza
Domino’s Alfredo pizza (like their Chicken Alfredo pizza) uses a garlic Parmesan sauce similar to Alfredo, topped with chicken and cheese. While delicious, our homemade Bacon Alfredo Pizza takes it up a notch with crispy bacon, loads of melty cheese, and a fresh-baked crust that’s miles better than delivery!

I love alfredo sauce and bacon together. Sounds like it would be good on a pizza, too.
