Elinore says
1/4 cup tablespoons cold water
Which is it? 1/4 cup or 1/4 cup and tablespoon? Or…?
Julie says
Hi Elinore! So sorry about the confusion, it’s 1/4 cup. Thank you for catching that!
Melinda says
Hi Julie! I noticed that on step 3 for the brown layer you have to “add cold coke and vodka” I assume that is referring to the 1/2 cup of vodka that you had listed? I am not seeming cold coke on the ingredients list.
I am so excited to make these, thank you so much!
Julie says
Hi Melinda! Thank you SO much for catching that!! It’s 1/4 cup cold cola. I’ve updated the recipe to reflect this. Hope you love ’em!
Kristen says
Is it 1 tbls of gelatin or 1 envelope? I’ve never worked with unflavored gelatin so I’m not familiar with the amount in each envelope.
Julie says
Hi Kristen! One envelope of gelatin has just about 1 tablespoon in there. I have the measurement listed in case you buy a jar of unflavored gelatin and need to measure it out. 🙂
Amber says
I beg you to reread your recipe. There are spelling mistakes and some of it doesn’t make sense.
Julie says
Hi Amber! Sorry for all the recipe craziness. I went through and checked/updated the recipe. Hope it’s easier to make now.
Karen says
How did you make the dracula bite on top?
Julie says
Hi Karen! Do you mean the little divet in the jello? I filled the cups close to the rim. Once they were set and the lids went on, the lids touched the jello. When the lids come off a little jello sticks.
Cait says
Making these for a party this weekend. Super excited to try them!!
michelle says
can you use dark rum instead of vodka?
Julie Espy says
Hi Michelle! You can, but it completely changes the flavor. I would use whichever type of rum you prefer for rum & coke.
