When I asked if I could share a party punch recipe here at Bread Booze Bacon I created a base that could be served at any type of party. This hurricane party punch recipe would be great for a family-friendly get-together or, with the help of Julie’s expertise, can be served to the 21 and older crowd. Either way, we both loved it and it is really delicious!

I couldn’t help but take a picture of the garnish sticks. Are they not just the prettiest?!?! And they totally make the drink extra awesome!

- Fill a glass with ice and pour in 6 ounces of punch. Choose your add-ins and add them to the punch.Boozy version: Add 1 ¼ oz silver rum and stir to combine. Then float ½ oz dark rum on top.Non-alcoholic version: add 1 oz grenadine instead of the rum
- Garnish with fruit and serve immediately.
Notes
- Nutritional information is for the punch base only and does not include add-ins.
- The punch base makes just over 1-quart. You can easily double this recipe, choose boozy or N/A version add-ins, and mix everything in a pitcher for a pre-made party drink.

Easy party punch recipes are some of my most favorite recipes to make. I always keep stuff on hand to throw together a delicious drink whenever we have company over. Some of my favorite party punches at the moment are, this mai-tai mocktail party punch recipe or this raspberry crush party punch which is the best party punch recipe ever! This is my kids’ favorite party drink.

Thanks for letting me hang with you today. I’d love for you to stop by Liz on Call to see my latest easy recipe, party punch or DIY project.
Happy mixing!

how do u make the passion fruit syrup?
Hi Mitzi! The passion fruit syrup is Torani brand, and you get it on Amazon or you should be able to find it at World Market. Otherwise, you could substitute passion fruit juice to taste. Hope this helps!
Gorgeous looking cocktail! It sounds so delicious too! Perfect to enjoy at any time of the year!
How many does this recipe serve?
This punch will serve 6 per batch. It’s noted on the recipe card for you too. 🙂
Would captain Morgan’s spices rum work?
Spiced rum is a completely different flavor from dark or silver rum. If you want to try it – I’d make the base, add a shot of spiced rum to an ice-filled glass, and pour the punch base over it. Stir and sip. If you like it, carry on. 🙂
What type of white rum and dark rum did you use. Trying to figure out the best that go together
Hi Rosa! I used Meyer’s for the dark rum and Bacardi silver for the white rum. 🙂
O.M.G this looks so addicting! it looks like something i could do for my little spring/summer first tween birthday!!!! 🙂
Will Vodka work for this recipe?
Hi Vicky! You could use vodka, but it will change the flavor of the drink. Vodka is a neutral spirit (AKA no flavor/sweetness) and rum has some natural sweetness from the sugar cane/molasses.
How much of the add-ins would I use if serving it in a punch bowl?
Hi Michelle. I’ve added a note under the recipe for how much to use of everything to make a large batch (enough for a 2 gallon punch bowl), and updated the recipe itself to show the total amount of grenadine or rum for bulk mixing vs individual portions. Hope this helps. 🙂
