Ingredients You’ll Need to Make Air Fryer Glazed Turkey Breast

Turkey: You only need a turkey breast and you want to make sure it will fit in your air fryer basket when it is thawed out.

Rub: For the rub that goes on the turkey first you need butter, minced garlic, thyme, rosemary, and sage; I try to use all fresh herbs.

Glaze: The glaze makes this recipe stand apart from all other turkeys so you will need dijon mustard, apple cider vinegar, brown sugar, orange juice, orange zest, and butter.

STEP 4 When the turkey has about 10 minutes left to cook, make the glaze. In a medium saucepan, whisk together the mustard, vinegar, brown sugar, orange juice, and orange zest, and then simmer for 5 minutes. Remove from the heat and whisk in the butter.

Tips & Tricks

  • Make sure your turkey breast is thawed completely and let it come up to room temp for at least 30 minutes prior to cooking. You need to make sure there is nothing inside the cavity of the turkey breast, sometimes there is a turkey gravy packet if it is a bone-in breast.
  • A boneless turkey breast may cook faster than bone-in. Be sure to keep your meat thermometer handy so you can make sure you don’t under or over cook the turkey breast.
  • If you have a skin-on breast be sure to rub the butter under AND over the skin. This is a great way to get a bit more moisture into the turkey as it cooks. If you like., you can double the rub mixture.
  • When I make this air fryer turkey breast recipe on weeknights I usually skip the glaze. The rub alone is delicious and makes the skin crispy and the meat nice and moist.

Air Fryer Turkey Breast FAQ’s

How should I store and reheat leftovers?

You can store leftovers in the refrigerator for 5-7 days, or in the freezer for up to 3 months. Just make sure to put your turkey into an airtight container. Leftover turkey breast is also great as sandwich meat and in soups and casseroles.

To re-heat the turkey, place it in the air fryer and cook at 375 degrees F for about five minutes or until heated through. You can also reheat it in the microwave.

How can I make cleanup easier with the air fryer?

If you want to collect the juices for turkey gravy or just make cleanup easier you can line your air fryer basket with aluminum foil before cooking. But be sure not to let the foil get above the top edge of the basket.
