A Mexican Mule is a crisp tequila cocktail with ginger beer, lime, and sweet and sour mix. Ready in 3 minutes for happy hour or your next backyard party.
Run 1 lime wedge around the rim of the mug, then dip the rim into margarita salt to coat.
Carefully fill the mug with ice, trying not to knock off the salt.
Pour 2 ounces silver tequila and 2 ounces sweet and sour mix into the mug. Then pour in 12 ounces ginger beer (or enough to fill the mug). Squeeze another lime wedge over the cocktail and then stir.
Garnish with a fresh lime wedge on the rim and serve it immediately. (I use the same wedge I used to rim the mug for the garnish.)
Notes
For a spicy mule, muddle jalapeño slices in the mug before adding the ice.
Use freshly squeezed lime juice for the brightest flavor.
