Maple, Almond, and Bacon Butter is an easy to make compound butter that has flavor you can't resist! It makes the perfect addition to just about anything!
Place almonds in a small skillet, and toast over medium heat, stirring often. Cook until nuts begin to brown slightly. Remove from heat.
Place butter, maple syrup, almonds, bacon, and salt into a food processor. Mix until well combined.
Lay out two sheets of plastic wrap, about 6 inches wide, on a flat surface. Portion 1/2 of the butter mixture into the middle of each piece of plastic wrap in a log-ish shape.
Wrap one end of the plastic wrap over the butter to help form the butter into a log, and then keep rolling the butter log over the plastic wrap until it is all wrapped around the long side.
Twist the ends of the plastic wrap to tighten the butter into place. Tuck the ends under the butter, and refrigerate for at least 4 hours to overnight before using.
