Cinco de Mayo is days away and there’s no better place to celebrate than Applebee’s with Dollaritas and 2 Dollar Dos Equis!
First things first, May the 4th be with you…and also with you! Okay, I’m better now. 🙂
You guys!! Cinco de Mayo is tomorrow and I’m totally stoked to have a sitter for the kids! Mike and I have big plans to go out and spend the day eating yummy food and having a margarita or four. Days like this is why I love Uber. Whenever we go out for party days, one of us is always the designated driver, but with Applebee’s right now the street, we’re totally calling a ride so we can both enjoy ourselves.
And yes, you heard me right Applebee’s. While there are lots of great Mexican places to eat in Arizona, Dollaritas ($1 margaritas) and 2 Dollar Dos Equis drafts are a deal we can’t resist! Because let’s get real, going out is fun, but if I can find a smoking deal of drinks guess where I’m going. Mike and I usually meet up for lunch during the week while the boys are at school, so today we Cinco de Mayo pre-gamed at Applebee’s. That’s right, we’re going two days in a row. With refreshing Dollaritas available now through May 5th, I’m taking advantage as much as possible while I still can! This classic combination of tequila and margarita mix is served on the rocks and goes down easy! If you’re a beer lover, you’re in luck too, Dos Equis is the May Neighborhood Drink of the month and will be $2 all month long at participating restaurants!
We combed the menu and found all kinds of yummy food to pair with our drinks. Drinking on an empty stomach is never a good idea. There were so many options! I couldn’t decide between the Chicken Quesadillas or Salas Verde Beef Nachos to start with and Mike wanted the boneless wings or mozzarella sticks, so we compromised and got the combo!
Luckily the entree was an easy choice – BBQ Brisket Tacos. I’m a sucker for Tex-Mex food. These tacos were loaded with beef, BBq sauce, cheese, pico de gallo (pee-koh de guy-oh), crispy onions, Mexi-ranch dressing, and cilantro. SO good! Mike got the riblets platter with fries and coleslaw to go with his Dos Equis.
Lunch was great and we can’t wait to go back again. If you’re still figuring out your Cinco de Mayo plans, haul your butt down to your local Applebee’s and treat yourself to a Dollarita or a $2 Dos Equis! You won’t regret it!
